Description   The Ball Vase is without doubt a timeless ‘Classic of Magic’ and there are several examples of this celebrated magical apparatus in Collections around the World. This truly stunning example is almost certainly a first, as it offers some of the most beautiful elements of ‘Ornamental Turning’ in it’s composition. The Base is made of Anjan, the lower trim is of Satinwood, the middle section of delicate flutes rising to a turned stem with a ‘fluted’ bowl of African Blackwood, supports a central base of Satinwood. The outer edges of the ball recess are outward spirals of ornamental flutes. The internal ball recess is of African Blackwood and the Ball itself has been ‘hand turned’ and is made of Solid Burr Yew (With a matching Shell). The Vase Lid is a Majestic Dome of ornamental flutes surmounted with a turned finial of African Blackwood and Satinwood Trim. The Vase Measures 13 inches (approx) from the Base to the Finial and is presented in a ‘Hand Crafted’ jointed Box of Native English Wood with Brass Livery. Custom made piece. Please call.
